Passion From the Start
Dr. Lamoureux obtained her undergraduate degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. A love for science, and a desire to help those in need drew her to a career in medicine. She matriculated to the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine to embark upon her lifelong dream of becoming a physician, like her father and grandfather, Drs. Peter and Pasquale Tomaiolo. Upon successful completion of medical school, her residency training brought her and her husband to sunny Florida where she completed two medical residencies.
During her time as an internal medicine resident she received such honors as “resident of the year” “resident teacher of the year” and “chief resident”. She was the sole recipient from her training program to be awarded two consecutive grants from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in the amount of $5,000 each to conduct original research. Throughout her training, she strived to master the fundamentals of patient care, management of disease, and promotion of health.
